FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What's included in each plan?
All plans include unlimited virtual and physical cards, access to Keep Travel, and full access to our expense management tools. The difference between tiers comes down to three things: your fee-free days, your rewards rate, and how many users you need.
- Core ($79/mo) — Up to 31 fee-free days, standard rewards, up to 3 users
- Plus ($119/mo) — Up to 38 fee-free days, premium rewards, up to 10 users
- Max ($199/mo) — Up to 56 fee-free days, premium rewards, unlimited users
Which plan is right for my business?
Pick your plan based on two things: how many people on your team need cards, and how much float (extra time before paying your statement) you want on your spend.
If you're a small team (1–3 users) and standard rewards work for you, Core is the fit. If you have a growing team (4–10 users) or want premium rewards, go with Plus. If you have 11+ users or need the longest possible fee-free days, Max is built for you.
Is there a free plan?
No. Every Keep customer is on a paid subscription. We believe in transparent, predictable pricing — no hidden fees, no surprise charges based on usage.
How do rewards work?
All plans earn rewards on card spend. Core comes with our standard rewards program, while Plus and Max include premium rewards — higher earn rates on categories like travel, dining, and entertainment.
How do fee-free days work?
It's the total number of fee-free days you get from when you charge your card to when your balance is due. It works like this:
- Charge an expense to your card
- Up to 30 days later, you receive your statement
- You then have additional days to pay your balance in full
The number of fee-free days depends on your plan: Core gives you up to 31 days, Plus up to 38 days, and Max up to 56 days. The more fee-free days you have, the longer your float — giving your business more time to manage cash flow before payment is due.
Do I need to commit to a contract?
No long-term contracts. Keep is a monthly subscription — you can cancel anytime.
Is Keep Travel included?
Yes, Keep Travel is included on all three plans — Core, Plus, and Max.
I'm applying through a partner. Does pricing work the same way?
Customers coming through our partner programs may qualify for partner-specific pricing. Check with your partner or reach out to our team to confirm what applies to your account.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time if your team grows or you need more benefits. Downgrades are available too, as long as your usage still fits the lower tier's limits (for example, you can't downgrade to Core if you have 6 active users).
When does an upgrade take effect?
Your higher benefits — rewards rate, extra free transfers, higher user limit — apply immediately. The higher price starts at your next billing cycle, with no mid-cycle charge. (Fee-free days are the exception — see the question regarding fee-free days below)
When does a downgrade take effect?
Both the lower benefits and the lower price take effect at your next billing cycle — you keep your current plan's full benefits through the end of the cycle you've already paid for. You can only downgrade once your usage fits the lower plan e.g., 3 users or fewer for Core. (Fee-free days are the exception — see the question regarding fee-free days below)
What benefits will change if I downgrade?
Some benefits will — a lower plan includes fewer, so it's worth reviewing before you switch. For example, moving from Plus to Core:
- Rewards: everyday spend earns 1x (down from 1.5x), and you lose the 3x on dining and 5x on Keep Travel
- Fee-free days: 31 on Core, down from 38 (Plus) or 56 (Max) — this is the buffer you get after your statement closes to pay your balance. On Core — your payment is due the next day after statement closes — versus roughly a week on Plus and about 3–4 weeks on Max. So downgrading to Core means much less time to pay after each statement
- Keep Travel: points cover up to 50% of a booking on Core, vs 100% on Plus and Max
- Free transfers: Core doesn't include free Interac or SWIFT transfers
- 1-day statement clearing: not included on Core
- Users: up to 3 on Core
Am I charged, or refunded, mid-cycle when I change plans?
No. Billing only ever changes at your next billing cycle. There's no prorated charge when you upgrade, and nothing to refund when you downgrade.
Does my higher rewards rate apply to spend I already made this cycle?
No. When you upgrade, the higher multiplier applies only to spend from the moment you upgrade onward; earlier spend earns at your previous rate.
If I downgrade, do I keep the points I've already earned?
Yes. Earned points stay in your account — only your earn rate going forward changes.
When do my fee-free days change after a plan change?
Fee-free days are tied to your card statement, not your subscription — so a change (up or down) takes effect from your next statement period, not the next business day or next billing cycle. Any statement already open keeps its current fee-free terms.
Do my free monthly Interac and SWIFT transfers reset when I switch?
They're counted per billing cycle and don't roll over; your new plan's allotment applies once the new plan is active.
